Ravi Shastri and the national chief coach for the Indian Cricket Team

Recently there have been a lot of controversies over the selection of Chief Coach of the Cricket team of India.There were three examiners for taking interview including Ganguly and Ravi Shastri was a candidate for the job.

Both  Ganguly and Shastri were absent at the Interview Board and Kumble was selected.

There was a bitter debate between Ganguly and Sastri over the absence of the both at the Interview Board.

The major mistakes of Shastri appears to have noticed.He should have not applied for a job where he was to appear before the interview Board where all the three interview takers were pretty junior to him.

Shastri is a dignified and pretty senior cricket personality , Former national cricketer,He is a reputed commentator and lastly he was very close to the Board.

It can't be believed that such  an influential person of Indian cricket was totally in the dark over the selection and to me he had definite information that Kumble was going to be selected.

In that case to avoid all sorts of humiliations he should have not at all appeared before the interview Board considering two major aspects firstly the interview taker all being pretty junior to him and he will have to give interview before them and the same does not match with the dignity of him Secondly the selection of Kumble also humiliation for him since Kumble seems to be junior to him and despite his appearance a junior candidate is selected.

The same obviously is not a glorious part for him. He should have made an in depth study and take right decision by deploying all of his experiences.However , if he faces similar situation this experience will be helpful for him.
