It has been noticed from the newspaper that the salary of the members of parliament are going to be doubled .Let us discuss about the justification for the proposed enhancement.
The members of our parliament enjoy various perquisites like Telephone bills , Number of newspapers bills, Traveling expenses by Air and train, medical expenses, Gas expenses , Residential accommodation etc.
It is therefore felt their entire expenses are met by the government.Besides fixed salary they get daily allowance for attending parliament session and they get allowance also for attending meetings for parliamentary affairs when they are included in Advisory committee.
It is therefore,evident that the members of parliament earn sizeable amount as monthly salary .
In the light of the huge salary drawn by the members of the parliament along with a good number of facilities enjoyed it is stated that they are public representatives of such a country where large number of population are either of below poverty rank or marginally upper of below poverty line.
The funny thing for the enhancement of the salary issue is that all members of the parliament irrespective of party including left parties are united.
No party including any left party opposes for the enhancement. In parliament occasionally they may voice for the poor people but from their act it is definite that they at least do not represent poor people.
The countrymen feel shame for the act of the parliament excepting members of parliament .
They don't bother about the feelings of the countrymen . They are only after their own interests.
