They are called As extra. They assemble At the different studios with the hope of acting with dialogue Or without dialogue or for appearing in a crowded scene .
If someone or few are required then they are called By the director , otherwise they after waiting upto evening start for their homes.
This is their daily routine. Their only identity are as "extra".They are paid on daily basis. Satyajit Ray took a deep human view about them and he wrote a story about them named "PatalBabur Film Star ".
I don't know whether there is any existence of extras or not .
