The quit of Samhhu Mitra from Babhurupi seems to be the most tragic part of his life . He  along with the Manoranjan Bhattacharya established Babhurupi in 1948 . Since then till the depart in 1978 he was the most key person for the three decades.He was the true guardian of the group.

He never compromised with slightest  deviation of discipline and morality. He was top to bottom a man of principle.Out and out disciplined and equally honest . If such a person remains at the top many persons feel difficulties and felt like essence to remove him .

They started work in this way so that he departed.I personally believe despite his personal problems he could have continued easily for another ten years.Had he directed one theatre in every Year he could have produced ten theatres and the same would have been classics .

During his last phase in Babhurupi it is the moral  duty  to find out the actual story . Respected Shaoli Mitra and Debotosh Gosh may take important role and may highlight the truth.After quitting Babhurupi Shri Mitra led completely a lonely life  and rarely participated in any public function .

His last will regarding the formalities to be done after he death suggests he was completely a different personality.He was criticised for being his right character , the same was purely wrong . It proves from his Will.It is seen after the death of many communists all religions formalities are observed while Sri Mitra in writing expressed his will to abstain from any Religions formalities after his death .

My question whether Shri Mitra should be leveled as a follower of right ideology ?

Unparalleled George da part 2

An elaborate discussion has been made in first part. George da himself has given detailed theoretical explanations in support of his  music . My question is even if accepted that George da had some inaccuracies and Music Board rightly performed their duties by imposing ban on his recording. The valid question arises what is going on today. Today there is no existence of Music Board or any other agency to check the accuracy. Presently Many singers sing absolutely according to their wish  and they are not after any technical accuracy .As a result it is difficult to understand the existence of Rabindra Sangeet. Another question also arises about George da. Music Board previously approved many songs of George da. A question therefore arises did the  Music Board do wrong ? In this context the sanctity of the music Board obviously is questionable.

Pick pocket industry

We are always after industrial backwardness of our State and We discuss the problems of industry wise excepting  pick pocket industry . I fail to understand the reasons for the step motherly attitude of this industry in view of the fact the same is not a sick industry. We are totally indifferent about this industry.This industry has engaged huge number of unemployed young men while we have no figure of approximate number of employees engaged.we don't k whether they want on commission basis or salary basis. The average monthly income.whether puja bonus is paid if so the average income.The average monthly income of the owners. Profitable routers , loosing routes , Risks Route,whether the industry is expanding or recession facing, future prospects and total capital employment etc These information are urgently required to ascertain whether the same requires  any financial support.

A drama over selection of Chief Coach

A drama over selection of Chief Coach of National cricket team. Recently the countrymen have enjoyed a very good drama staged at  the most cricket loving country.In the drama there were two principal characters one was the candidate for the coach Ravi Sastri and the other examiner the best cricketer of the world of all time Saurav Ganguly. 

The plot was common for the two characters,both were absent in the interview Board and starting of charging each other for the absence and replies thereon. As regards first absence of the candidate, here the presence of the candidate seems to be not compulsory  .As regards second absence here the presence of the interview taker  seems to be compulsory and the excuses  stated to have been highlighted that an important meeting was prefixed of CAB for which prior permission had been obtained . It is felt that the BCCI is the highest Body of cricket of the country.

Any  assignment given by the Board should have been given top most priority besides taking interview for national cricket coach is most prestigious assignment.BCCI Is the parent body of the CAB Hence the work of CAB Can't supersede parent body.The important work of CAB might have been deferred in view of the utmost urgency of the work . Here prior permission does not justify with reference to the importance.As  regards absence of Ravi Sastri ,he doesn't  appear to have  given any in explanation.Another plot of drama it is obvious the selection of Kumble was  pre fixed decision considering  the seniority and other wattage Sastri should have been told to abstain form appearing the interview Board to avoid two humiliations  , firstly three members of the interview Board were pretty junior to Sastri.The same seems to be enough humiliations for him.Secondly the selection  umbley  also humiliation for Sastri as Kumble seems to be junior to Sastri.I am astonished to see a vetaren cricket personality with vast experience how Sastri taking all these aspects into consideration has m for the job.However. similar dramas will also be staged in future.

TV Priests

TV priests . From the caption it is very difficult possibly to guess who are the priests.Many of us have the experience of watching or suffering scarcity of priests  on Lakshmi puja and Swaraswati Puja  when the priests become extremely busy very   often they are highjacked for conducting Puja Presently in Television there are good number of Bengali news channels where almost everyday politicl discussions are held , normally four gentleman take part.They are from different political parties. Sometimes three from political parties and one as political analyst who is supposed to be a neutral person while they speak for a particular party.More or less same faces participate in all channels.They move from one channel to other like priests hence they are called TV priests. I regularly watch the programmes and it is my realisation that the participants of the discussions are immensely learned. I am astonished at their level of knowledge . They know every subject like politics, economics  , law, administration    Science, literature   theatre, film, Sports, foreign affairs   constitution ,  Agriculture , Industry, etc and Still so many subjects. I fail to understand in a small head it is impossible to store such huge load. I personally want the matter may be examined by the Scientists . Only problem with them they quarrel with each other very constantly and it is my imaginary thought if they collectively from a government there will not be a single problem. Long live TV Priests.

Change of Name of The State

Change of name of our state.Whether the demand for changing of name of our state Is essential Is a separate issue.The very interesting thing is the demand does not continue for a long time.possibly few years back similar initiative was noticed but for  any unknown reasons the same were vanished.As far present move is concerned the proposal for changing has been approved by the state cabinet and now the central government is to be approached and finally the same is to be got  approved by the both houses of parliament
Everything is depending upon central government if central government refuses to the same is likely to be rejected by the parliament as In the parliament the ruling government enjoys the majority.                             
As per newspaper an all  parties meeting is   going to be held for determining the name of the state.

There is no possibility of unanimous decision.  The most important role will be played by our most Respected intellectuals
We may be poor but we may be proud of our intellectuals. We are having unlimited intellectuals.They will give their expert opinion regarding Bangla or Bango I'm not sure  whether the dispute between Bangla and Banga will be at all settled.

I have no hesitation in admitting to the fact that I don't deserve to write or speak about this legendary theatre personality . In view of the fact that I have never acted in theatre nor understand the ABC of the same Yet I am writing about him only because I have watched his five or six actings and  have read his some writings.

To  me  Samhhu Mitra seems to be the number one theatre artist of Bengal after Sisir Kumar.Even if all his words are set aside only for Rakta karabi he has captured a permanent place in Bengali theatre.

He was the father figure of Bahurupi . Under his direction about  fifteen theatres were staged , Scholars critics from various angles criticised those theatres but I have no capacity to understand the criticisms.

Even Rakta karabi was not spared from criticisms and controversy, With due apologies to the scholar critics my question to them would be ---

it is frequently found that in the name of criticism the performers are Personally attacked and it seems
the main object is to attack personally to the performers instead of their works.

It is also observed when high criticisms are required in respect of any performance , the same attracted very soft criticisms.

The critics  always get cooked food , they may take a reasonable attitude. Samhhu Mitra possibly did not deserve such ruthless criticisms.My experience in watching his acting was splendid and the same are unforgettable.

After the light off when he entered in the stage, that is a fantastic experience ,his unparalleled voice , style of walking, style of body movement,style of dialogue throwing  , Lastly the use of magnificent voice ,I have never seen in any other actor.

For these reasons he was number one stage actor.However this is purely my personal opinion.In support of my above rating I may mention his unprecedented popularity.I don't know whether any other stage personality had enjoyed such popularity.To watch his  acting at Academy and Rabindra sadan huge  number of spectators used to wait for two days or three days at the halls and sometimes police had to interfere.

These were unbelievable incidents. These happened not only in respect of acting but also at his recitation programme and he used to read literature and drama .  He was absolutely a self        made person. He started practicing his voice only at the age of fourteen and the same continued up to thirty. It is unthinkable that he continued the practice for long sixteen years everyday for four to six hours. The result of hard practice  he got .His voice turned into a magnificent one. As far as concerned he made continuous experiments . He was a high scholar person despite the fact he did not complete his college education but studied various subjects apart from theatre .

The tragic part of his life was  He was the founder and father figure of Bahurupi.Under his direction a good number of theatres had been staged which are  considered to be classic.Subsequently a section of activists engaged themselves into dirty game and conspiracy against shri  Mitra and ultimately compelled him to quit Babhurupi.

Though Samhhu Mitra Is a founder the way he was forced to leave it is not only painful and the same  is also against humanity . The group theatres are supposed to be ideological while Babhurupi played the role of villain.  Though the section played this darty role are no more The next generation have come to the management yet for the interest of humanity  and also for the interest of group theatres the entire thread should be investigated and the truth should come to light.

The most surprising and unbelievable thing is that Samhhu Mitra had not uttered  a single word. It suggests how great man he was.

Uttam Kumar a surprising personality. It is needless to present any introduction of uttam Kumar.During his lifetime an immense popularity he enjoyed as Bengali films here is unbelievable and unthinkable.

He had successfully maintained his grading as number one in the industry throughout his career for thirty years At the same time his untouchable popularity.One  thing always haunts me what are the secret of his brilliant success.

Lot of articles have been written about him during his life time and also after death.  Lot of his interviews have also appeared in various magazines. Still after long thirty six years of his death I have felt the need of making a study for finding out the reasons for his  unbelievable success.

He is from an ordinary lower middle class family.His father was an employee possibly an operator of Metro cinema hall. He was an ordinary student and didn't complete his college education.He  started his service carrier from an ordinary position.He joined film while he was in service and continued the same for quite some time.
He faced a tremendous bad time during his initial days of film carrier . One after another his film flopped.He was naturally very upset and about to quit the industry. He was named  as FMG i.e.Flops Master General. But the success came shortly.

His Bosu paribar was a super heat . Since then he was not to look behind.Here is the very vital question everything of his being very ordinary how such grand success came. To me his utmost sincerity and dedication. He never compromised with these two most precious qualifications.I had an opportunity to watch his.outdoor shooting ,I was astonished at his dedication which is beyond  expression and even didn't waste a single moment.Such a serious person always sees the face of success.His unfortunate premature death has caused serious loss of Bengali films, had he survived he would have acted plenty of different characters and we would have enjoyed the same. It is very painful for us we have been deprived from endless characters. Only consolation is yet he has given his best for the continuos three decades.

Unparalleled George da (Debabrata Biswas )

I become nostalgic while speaking or writing about George da.I consider myself extremely fortunate for having an opportunity to meet him in 1970.

At that moment both of us were upset for having lost Close relatives.  Our meeting continued for a short period and the same was restricted to personal matters.

It is extremely difficult for a common man like Me to write about him. He was like Himalaya.He was meant for Rabindra Sangeet though he sang from other areas also specially Gana  Sangeet while he was in IPTA .

He visited China as a member of cultural team  of the Government of India . Maw se Tung himself listened to Abak  prithibi  sung by George da and appreciated.

Without Rabindra Sangeet George da is incomplete. To me he was the most popular Rabindra Sangeet singers who earned highest royalty.He  was the monarch of Rabindra Sangeet.His magical voice spelled bound listeners.

The highest popularity also brought black clouds in  his life.So called some singers who became vindictive at this popularity of George da , were jealous, conspirators, notorious and they were united with only one  point programme to finish him.

The life of George da was possibly a  threat in their hands. Fortunately he escaped from the hands of the said criminals.unfortunately these devils suddenly got an excellent opportunity to finish him.

After the death of Sailaja Ranjan Mazumder who was the head of the viswa Bharati Music Board the golden chance appeared before the devils who fully utilised the opportunity and came to a direct confrontation with him by withholding approval of reading of George da on the plea of silly ground.

George da had strong sense of self respect. He explained the technical points but did  surrender to the notorious fellows.He  himself stopped recording  . At this decision of George da It was expected that the devils would stop their  fighting against him instead they started personal attacks and got the company of one so called Journalist and also got the support of a renowned Bengali daily newspaper.

The devils thought they were successful in finishing George da.  It is true this war was a very hard On one side a good number of notorious while on the other side George da alone who fought like a true hero without bowing down.

The listeners were the main  strength. The devils group despite having been successful in stopping his recording , they  couldn't damage his  popularity to the slightest extent. He recommended huge number of songs in tape recorder which we listen.  It is surprising and unbelievable that he seems to be still highest Royalty earner even after the thirty six years of death.

What about the devils group? After the long passage  of time all members of the group have expired.It was expected that after the death of all the devils permanent piece would be restored and the soul of George da will be getting peace but unfortunately the disciples of devils group are still active and have been playing darty games like their masters.

Something should be said about the devils group.They were so called reputed singers but they had no moral right to sing the same since basically they were criminals, notorious, antisocial  what not ! On the other hand George da was the undeclared monarch of Rabindra Sangeet. He will be remembered So long Rabindra Sangeet will be there. My warmest regards to George da...

Role of coaching classes in our society

The coaching classes in our society presently take an import role in our education. and a part and Parcel of the same.A Secton of people are very much against coaching classes And their views  are that the schools and colleges  are supposed to meet all the educational requirements of the students . So there is no necessity of the coaching classes and the students will be benefited  from time and money will be saved.

Firstly the concept is that the schools or institutions  will prepare their students in such a way for  which the existence of coaching classes will be over.This feelings is not at all tenable in view of the fact of poor  infrastructure of our schools and colleges . In every institution the pressure of students are tremendous  and they even do not get their seats ,in most of the institutions the required teachers are not available.

As a result many classes are not being taken or it is being tried to make up with the available teachers and one teacher has to take more classes against his allotted and also he has to take classes which are not  his subjects .

All these result in deterioration of standard.Under the present  available resources it is impossible to take personal care of any student. Here lies the importance of coaching classes . They meet up the deficiencies of Government education system . Without the coaching classes the official education system will collapse . Apart from this the same plays a vital role in socioeconomic conditions as well.

The coaching classes directly or indirectly have employed large number of educated unemployed young people.  Hence leaving the idea to eliminate coaching system government should come forward to fill up the deficiencies of coaching classes and computerize the

total number of coaching classes and teachers and non teaching staff etc.

THE DEATH OF ABESH

The  premature death of Abesh caused severe shock to the city people.The  police investigation Is going on to be sure whether  it was a murder case or an accidental death on one of his friends' birthday. The sad death has seriously haunted city people and they have come to road with the demand to the Administration to bring the truth. 

Personally I'm shocked like anything. Still a big question  haunts me what are the role of guardians. In most of the upper class and rich families parents provide huge amount to their children as  pocket money and they spend the game  lavishly on different accounts with their friends .

Apart from huge pocket money they also enjoy unlimited social liberty in regard to free mixing with their girl friends and sometimes  many of them have more than one girl friend . They attend night clubs and the guardians remain totally in dark and indifferent about their children.

 If they play active role in respect of their children such incidents can be avoided to a large extent. Preventive measures to be taken to ensure the minimization of such incidents. In the instant case even if the culprits are caught the victim will not return. 

Here the treatment is prevention Is better than cure.

PROBLEMS OF OLD AGE AND THEIR INDEPENDENT MOVEMENT

This writing will be restricted to the problems of old age. The problems are endless , beyond count. The main problems are health, financial, loneliness etc. Another man's problem the Blogger has experienced is in regard to companion problem.. The old people in most of the cases are dependent on others especially for going to outside like Hospital, Nursing home , Doctor 's chamber,pathological  test center , office etc . They find immense problems to find out an escort.

 The problem may be solved in a nice way. At present  in many localities the unemployed boys  deposit electric bills, corporation tax bills , Telephone bills etc by taking a nominal fees .

 Like this there can be escort centers in every locality and their function should be to accompany old people according to their needs and the remuneration may be per hour basis.If the system is intended which will be a historic one the old people will be immensely benefited and the unemployed youth will at the same time get an opportunity to earn honestly .
